Rinl, the Great Ram-god and the father of "Brana's people" (STILL no collective name for them YET)

anyway, they believe in the spiral progression of time, and so, objects in nature that grow in a spiral pattern, such as snail shells and pinecones, are of great importance to them, but the most important to them is a ram horn, because of the connexion to Rinl and also because they are a society based around herding, so sheep are essential to their way of life. But if a ram horn is held up to the ear, a sound akin to that of the "ocean"sound in a sea shell, but fainter (it's true! try it if you can!) Anyway, they believe this sound is the breath of the universe, which is why their priests divine by reading the grooves on the horns, since they feel that ram horns posess mystical properties (duh).

Rinl actually doesn't exist in Yrd as a real god, but is probably just one of the many interpretations of one of the true gods. It may be that Rinl began after the constellation that we know as aries, which is partly why this depiction is so celestial, but the main reason for all the stars and stuff was to show how Rinl holds the secrets of the universe, so to speak.

please notice that the shading on Rinl has stars in it...I don't think the affect was accheived quite as I would have wanted it to, but I wanted to make it look like he's transcending dimmension (and yes I know the stars behind him are blue, but the stars shown in his shading are behind those stars ) Like, in a constellation, even though the stars look like they're in a line, they really different distances away, but just alligned to give that illusion (if that makes any sense the way I described it :/ )

Though Brana's people live just south of Darrogol (Vanen's home turf) they actually migrated to that location from far to the east, thousands of years ago. They have blended with the locals in terms of clothing and language, their philosophies remain very eastern and transcendental (if that's the best word) they are also non-violent (in STARK contrast to their neighbours XD)
